A Message from Marc Gillette, Board President

The 900+ members of Landlords of Iowa are community leaders, in every corner of the state. The 16 Chapters are locally managed, and together, are the backbone of Landlords of Iowa – our statewide professional association.

The members of Landlords of Iowa work every day to provide the highest level of service to our customers – our tenants – and to help the profession grow, through local and state business leadership and public policy advocacy.

Nearly 50% of all Iowans rent their homes. Whether in a rural or urban part of Iowa, finding a great place to call home is a big decision for a person. Landlords of Iowa is a resource for potential tenants. We know potential tenants could choose any number of places to rent from. Our members are part of an active and professional association, ready to earn renters’ business all over Iowa.

We are also on the front lines of big decisions that property owners make. We have an experienced business development and public policy team, working every day to reduce barriers to entry into the profession, and to make a more favorable work environment for you. We are a resource for city councils, state legislators, and other decision makers who are responsible for housing, and public policy.

Finally, and most important, Landlords of Iowa is here for our members. We want to help your business grow. On this site, you’ll see information about the organization, and what we offer. As the site continues to grow, please check back for updates about Iowa’s rental housing market, best practices, and rental opportunities. Landlords of Iowa members have access to model leases, legislative updates, and more. Landlords of Iowa is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit professional association. Members’ dues have one purpose only – to help you grow your business.
